Update on developments from the insurance world with an emphasis on post pandemic telehealth coverage.
Update regarding reimbursement rates for psychological assessment in the wake of behavioral health redesign.
Explain the recent progress made by the Ohio Psychological Association (OPA) in advancing the field of psychology within the state.
Discuss key initiatives, programs, and policies implemented by the OPA to support psychologists and improve mental health services across Ohio.
Analyze the current landscape of psychology in Ohio, including demographic trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth and innovation.
Assess the impact of national developments in psychology on the practice, research, and education within Ohio, including relevant legislative changes, emerging trends, and best practices.
PRESENTERS
Dustin McKee, MSW
Dustin McKee, MSW, is the CEO of the Ohio Psychological Association. As a veteran advocate in health, human and social services, Dustin has led major initiatives to improve the lives of individuals and families impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders, poverty, and complex health conditions. Dustin has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Earlham College and a Masters of Social work from Ohio University. Prior to obtaining his MSW, Dustin provided direct supports to individuals with serious mental illness in a community support program in rural Indiana. As a result of these professional experiences, and the experiences of his family, friends and loved ones, he is a passionate advocate for individuals living with a mental illness.
Jim Broyles, Ph.D.
Dr. Broyles is Director of Professional Affairs for the Ohio Psychological Association. He continues to focus almost exclusively on providing support with insurance issues. Most of his efforts are divided between providing member consultation on insurance problems and advocating with insurance companies on behalf of psychologists. Additionally, Dr. Broyles has been a psychologist in private practice since 1990. He received his doctorate from The Ohio State University and is the past president of the Ohio Psychological Association.
